Our philosophy behind producing high quality wines is to manage our vineyards with “precision viticulture”.
Terroir, as a concept, is the combination of the basic trio (plant, soil, and climate) with the never-ending passionate work of man. Man´s passionate, never-ending contribution of spirit and ability is of the upmost importance. The agronomical management, which is the combination of investigation, technology, knowledge, and natural observation, allows us to advance in our knowledge of alchemy and guide the terroir in such a way that it produces the best product possible.
The low levels of rainfall in Mendoza gives us an important advantage over our irrigation control and plant stressing processes. This precision control plays a key role in the crucial steps of the plant´s development, vegetative cycle, and tannin production. It also gives way to uniquely complex aromatic palette and important molecules for the wine. Pruning and foliage management essentially creates a microclimate where the clusters of the plants can evolve in a way that produces a perfectly mature grape and organic richness, key behind the winemaking.
The ecology of the vineyard is the foundation for healthy plants that can produce a fruit that is a perfect, natural precursor to perpetuate the species. Our commitment to protecting our habitat is based upon the quality and sustainability of our land.
